A quatrain is a four-line stanza.

Example of a quatrain:

What happens

to the leaves after

they turn red and golden and fall

away? What happens [...] (Mary Oliver, Roses, Late Summer, verses 1-4)

A run-on sentence, or fused sentence, contains no punctuation or coordinating conjunctions between clauses.

An example of a run-on sentence:

Thousands of people attend concerts at Darien Lake the outdoor facility attracts top names from the music world because of its large capacity and proximity to Buffalo.
