Creating a resume (Part
2)
Use these additional, optional resume categories, if necessary:
- Career Objective (states
the specific position or setting in the field of employment for
which you are applying.)
- List your career objective after your identifying data.
- Do not include a career objective statement if you send a
cover letter with your resume.
- Special
Licenses/Certifications
- Significant Course Work/Projects
- Include upper-level course work only. Do not include
classes such as"Composition 101" or "Spanish 101" because all
college students take these introductory courses.
- Prepare to discuss any course work or projects that you
include in your resume.
- Special Skills (knowledge
of computers, foreign language proficiency, and areas of
expertise)
- Community Activities
- Professional Affiliations
- College Activities
- Include college activities in which you currently
participate.
- Include any offices held in these activities (secretary,
treasurer, etc.).
